Take a dip at Mashpee's South Cape Beach
How to spend vacations in Cape Cod
The Town of Mashpee only has one saltwater beach--South Cape Beach--but what a beach it is! South Cape Beach is located off of Great Oak Road in Mashpee.
The beach is a bit pebbly but offers scenic views of Martha's Vineyard and it is also great for taking walks. There is a hiking trail that is easily accessible from the area. The trail goes by marshes and ponds and leads to the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
The water is generally calm and this is a great spot for a dip.
There are lifeguards on duty in season and there are restrooms.
To park, you need a beach sticker, or you can pay the daily parking fee of $7 for the Mashpee Town Beach Parking lot, or $12 for MA vehicles and $14 for out-of-state vehicles at the State Parking Lot.
So if you are in the area, come and enjoy Mashpee's only saltwater beach, and the explore the surrounding area via the nature trails.
