There are many great beaches on Cape Cod, and whether you have already visited many of them, or are just visiting for the first time, it can always be fun to check out a new beach and see what it has to offer. Here are some great beaches in Falmouth to visit this summer, be it for the first time or the hundredth!

  1. Old Silver Beach, Falmouth. Divided into two sections (public and residential), each with their own parking lot, Old Silver Beach is quite large and has impressive views of Buzzards Bay. There are lifeguards on duty and there are also showers and restrooms available. There is also food available on-site. This beach has handicap-access (ramp/walkway). If you are only visiting for the day and don’t want to get a sticker, there is a daily parking fee of $20. Old Silver Beach is located on Quaker Road in Falmouth.

  2. Menauhant Beach, Falmouth. From this beach, you can see Martha’s Vineyard in the distance. This beach tends to be a bit less crowded and it is quite lovely, with warm water and lots of room. There are lifeguards on duty in the summer, as well as restrooms. The ice cream truck visits this beach. This beach has handicap-access (ramp/walkway). If you don’t have a sticker, the daily parking fee is $10. The beach is on Menauhant Road.

  3. Bristol Beach, Falmouth. Also located off Menauhant Road is Bristol Beach. This beach also has a lifeguard on duty in the summer and restrooms, as well as rock jetties and a great view of the open ocean. The ice cream truck visits this beach. There is handicap-access, but no ramp/walkway. The parking lot is well-sized and you need a sticker to park here, although there is an option for daily parking for $10 with a motel/hotel stay.

  4. Wood Neck Beach, Falmouth. This beach has a cool wetlands side that is fun for kids who want to explore the marshes of Cape Cod. There are lifeguards on duty in the summer and there are restrooms too. The ice cream truck visits this beach. There is handicap-access, but no ramp/walkway. You need a Falmouth beach sticker to park here. For information about Falmouth beach stickers, click here. The beach is off Woodneck Road, which is off Sippewissett Road.

  5. Chapoquoit Beach, Falmouth. This beach is located off Chapoquoit Road in Falmouth and has lifeguards on duty during the summer. There are restrooms available at this beach and the ice cream truck visits this beach. There are stairs that lead down to the beach and its beautiful view of Buzzards Bay. This beach has handicap-access (ramp/walkway) You need a sticker to park here, although – like Bristol Beach – there is an option to park daily for $10 with a motel/hotel stay.

  6. Surf Drive Beach, Falmouth. This beautiful Falmouth beach usually has a breeze going and tends to be less crowded than the other beaches. This is the closest beach to Falmouth Center. This is a picturesque beach, with views of Nobska Light and Martha’s Vineyard, as well as rock jetties and a great little inlet to the north of the beach that is fun for kids to splash around in. There is a lifeguard on duty in the summer and this beach has all the amenities, from showers and bathrooms to a boardwalk. There is also food available on-site. This beach has handicap-access (ramp/walkway). You can park here without a sticker by paying the daily parking fee of $15. The beach is located off Surf Drive, hence the name.

  7. Falmouth Heights Beach, Falmouth. Located off of Grand Avenue in Falmouth, Falmouth Heights Beach is a great beach with plenty of room for folks looking to enjoy themselves with a game of Frisbee or volleyball because there is ample room on the soft sand. There are also small rock jetties on the beach, which can be fun for kids. There are stairs leading down to this beach and so it is difficult to access if you are handicapped, although there is handicapped parking available. There are restrooms and showers, as well as food on-site and lifeguards are on duty during the summer. To park here, you need a sticker, although there is daily parking available for $10 with a motel/hotel stay (and there are many inns and B&Bs near this beach, so this option can be a good one to consider when booking a place to stay on the Cape). There is also a small amount of metered parking near the beach on Grand Avenue between Walden Avenue and Central Park Avenue.

  8. Megansett Beach, Falmouth. Located off County Road in Falmouth, Megansett Beach has a quaint harbor view that is filled with boats, as well as a rock jetty. For those who like shells, there are many to find on the beach. There are lifeguards in the summer and there are restrooms here. The ice cream truck stops by this beach and it is handicap-accessible, although it does not have a ramp/walkway. A sticker is required to park here.

  9. Stoney Beach, Falmouth. Located on Gosnold Road in the village of Woods Hole (part of Falmouth), is Stoney Beach. There are nice rock jetties and the water tends to be calm. There are lifeguards on duty in the summer, as well as restrooms. The ice cream truck stops here. This beach is handicap-accessible, although it does not have a ramp/walkway. A sticker is required to park here.

Also, a note for pet owners: from May 1 through September 30, dogs are not allowed on the beaches in Falmouth.
