Family Fun
The town of Dennis has some of the most gorgeous beaches on Cape Cod, and they are found on both the north and south sides of town – with northside beaches running along Cape Cod Bay and the southside beaches lying along Nantucket Sound. Here are the beaches of Dennis, with the list running from the northside beaches to the southside beaches.
Bayview Beach, Dennis. Located at the end of Bayview Road in Dennis, this beautiful bay beach has nice pools for kids to splash in at low tide and is great for sunbathing and swimming as well. There is a lifeguard on duty and there are restrooms. The parking is for people with Resident Stickers only, but the beach is right next to Mayflower Beach, which has parking for anyone with a sticker.
Chapin Memorial Beach, Dennis. One of the most enchanting beaches on Cape Cod, Chapin Beach is a great place to visit. There is plenty of beach to enjoy, and although there is a rocky bit separating the beach from the tidal flats, it is not too difficult to get over. The flats go on seemingly forever at low-tide and are great fun for children. There are portable restrooms. There is no lifeguard on duty in the summer. Chapin’s Restaurant is right down the road if you are feeling peckish after the beach. This beach is located at the end of Chapin Beach Road and a sticker is needed to park.
Mayflower Beach, Dennis. Located right down the road from Chapin Beach at the end of Dunes Road, Mayflower beach is an absolutely lovely spot to visit. The flats aren’t separated from the beach by a band of rocks like they are at Chapin Beach, but the beach tends to be a bit more crowded. Unlike Chapin, there is a lifeguard on duty. There are restrooms here and the beach is also very close to Chapin’s Restaurant. A sticker is needed to park here.
Corporation Beach, Dennis. Located off of Corporation Road in Dennis, this is a great beach for families. The water is calm and warm, and there is a swing set for kids who want a break from swimming. There is also a really great tidal pool formed by the curve of the beach. As with all Bay beaches, there are great flats to explore at low tide. The beach is also near Sesuit Harbor and is a good spot for watching the boats. There are restrooms and there is also a lifeguard on duty. A sticker is needed to park.
Harbor View Beach, Dennis. Located at the end of Harbor Road in Dennis, this beach is a nice spot for a swim. The beach is on the east side of Sesuit Harbor. There are lifeguards on duty, but no amenities. Parking is for people with resident stickers only.

There are small jetties here, and tidal pools form at low tide. There are no amenities, but there is a lifeguard on duty. A sticker is needed to park.
Cold Storage Beach, Dennis. Located at the end of Cold Storage Road in Dennis, this lovely beach is an easy beach walk away from Sea Street Beach. Sesuit Harbor is nearby and so this is a good spot to watch boats. There are rock jetties and the calm water is nice for a dip. There are lifeguards and restrooms. Parking is for people with resident stickers only.
Sea Street Beach, East Dennis. There are two Sea Street beaches in Dennis – one in East Dennis on the Bay, and the other (later in this list) in Dennisport on the Ocean. Haigis Beach, Dennis Port. Located off of Old Wharf Road in Dennis Port, this beach has high dunes which give it a bit of a secluded feeling, although there is a steep stairway which leads to the beach and which some people may find difficult to manage. There are rock jetties and the soft sand is interspersed with shells. There is even a playground for the kids. There is a lifeguard on duty and there are restrooms. A sticker is needed to park.

Raycroft Beach, Dennis Port. Located off of Raycroft Parkway in Dennis Port, this beautiful beach has soft sand and rock jetties, but there are steep stairs down to the beach which may be difficult for some people, so keep that in mind. The view is absolutely gorgeous, but since this beach is so lovely, it fills up fast, so be sure to get there early. There are no amenities and no lifeguards. A sticker is needed to park.
