Honeymoon on Cape Cod
How to Make a Fun and Affordable Destination Honeymoon
Perhaps you got married on Cape Cod and want to stay because it is beautiful and relaxing. Perhaps you have been coming here your whole life and have decided that there is nowhere else you would like to come to celebrate those first few nights of wedded bliss. Or perhaps you have heard about all the wonderful hotels, b&b's, and restaurants on the Cape and decided that it would be truly ideal.
Whatever your reasons, the Cape is a wonderful place to honeymoon. If you are planning on honeymooning here, take a few of these tips to heart!
1) Off-season=better price. You and your spouse will find that the charming b&b's and hotels are all cheaper in the off-season and even offer discounts. Since you will be staying for at least several nights, plan to come when it is a bit less pricey. The Cape is still lovely and summer-like in the early fall (and how much time will you really be spending out and about?), so that is a great time to come.
2) Where do you want to stay, a hotel or a b&b? Either one can be delightful. B&B's offer more intimate service and atmosphere, while hotels tend to have a wide array of services available. The Palmer Inn in Falmouth for example, offers many different packages, including a honeymoon package. Conversely, hotels such as the Chatham Bars Inn, can have a wider range of amenities (their own including a spa, several dining options, and other activities).
3) And lastly, if you do want to get out and about on your honeymoon, what would you like to do and see? Keep that in mind when picking your lodgings, to make sure the area suits your plans.
