If you're in South Florida this October, there are several events to keep you busy. From cruises to gardening, there is something that the whole family will enjoy.
Hop aboard Florida’s legendary Jungle Queen Dinner Cruise. One of the most popular tours is the 90-Minute Sightseeing Cruise, with morning, afternoon and evening options. This fully narrated tour takes passengers down the “Venice of America,”, Ft. Lauderdale’s New River and sails through Millionaire’s Row, home to celebrities with marvelous Mega Yachts and more. Reservations are required and the cruise is open to all ages.
Every Sunday in October, The Shops at Pembroke Gardens host a Farmer’s Market. From 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., you can buy locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey, freshly made juices and an assortment of artisanal goods.
On October 14th, head to Butterfly World for a Butterfly Gardening Workshop at 1:00 p.m. Learn how to start your own garden that will attract butterflies. This workshop is held indoors in the Grand Plaza and it is free to all guests with paid admission. Reservations are not required and this event is suitable for all ages. A free photo guide will be offered to help identify butterflies and host plants to all attendees.
Gulfstream Park is the place to be on Tuesdays in October. With live music with genres from around the world from entertainer Benji Rafaeli, guests will experience songs in more than 10 different languages including English, Russian, Hebrew, French and Yiddish.
