Visit the Famous Big Apple
New York City is known as the city that never sleeps for a reason.
This city is home to some of the greatest museums in the country. From the internationally famous art museums to the tiny, niche galleries, there are experiences for every taste. Walking the Museum Mile will give you an idea of what’s out there. Head to the Museum of Modern Art or try The Frick Collection. If you’re looking for something a little strange or if you've got the kids in tow, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium is a great stop.
Other states may claim to have the best pizza, but any self-respecting New Yorker knows that it’s all about the huge slices of New York-style pizza. While many local joints will claim to have the best, we prefer Uncle Paul’s Pizza for a gourmet slice.
Known as the birth place of the modern amusement park, Coney Island is a New Yorker tradition that has withstood decades of change. Head to Coney Island for a spin on the teacups at one of the amusement parks, see the Mermaid Parade, or check out a circus sideshow. Leave some change in your pockets for the gift shop and a famous Coney Island frank.
You’ve seen it on TV when you watch the ball drop on New Year’s, but seeing Times Square in person is an entirely different experience. Feed your sweet tooth at the impressive Hershey’s Store, check out deals on Broadway tickets or browse trinkets that street vendors are selling.
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is a staple to any NYC visit. Assemble with the Avengers and hang out with Lady Gaga. From pop stars to historical figures, you can always get a photo op with these celebrities. Where else can you see a storm trooper and a US president in the same place?
