Cool down with these awesome water parks.
Kansas City and the surrounding area has plenty of summertime fun for the whole family. Fresh for the season, we’ve compiled a list of the top 3 water parks in the area so you can cool off when the weather gets hot.
Schlitterbahn Water Park has been all over headlines lately as their new ride, Verruckt, is the tallest waterslide in the entire world. At an astonishing 168 feet and 7 inches, it dominates the skyline, and will blast you back up a secondary hill from the sheer momentum of the first drop. Be sure to make a reservation for the Verruckt, and go for a splash on the many other rides that Schlitterbahn offers, such as the Soaring Eagle Zipline, the Banzai Pipeline, and Torrent River.
Adventure Oasis Water Park is just outside Kansas City in Independence, MO. The water park features three thrilling water slides, and parents will be pleased to find a separate children’s water playground. They have a massive 6,000 square foot wave pool and 900-foot lazy river ride that will keep the family coming back for more all summer long. Nearby is the CoCo Key Water Resort, an indoor water park that gives you the option of going rain or shine. CoCo Key packs a ton of fun into their 55,000 square foot space. They have water slides and rides, a “dip-in” movie theater, interactive play island, an arcade for after you swim, and even a spa for the adults.
