Watch “The Polar Express”™ on a large screen among the historic trains. Doors open at 6 PM. The movie itself will begin at 6:30 PM.

On the night of Christmas Eve, a steam locomotive passenger train known as “The Polar Express”™ stops at the house of a boy who is growing skeptical about the existence of Santa Claus. The conductor says the train is traveling to the North Pole, and the boy, although reluctant at first, climbs aboard. Wait until you see what happens next!

    Join our salute to American railroads and the United States military, service men and women, during the 24th annual Trains & Troops event. A fascinating array of military, railway and homefront vehicles, uniforms, equipment, field gear, maps, books, photographs, memorabilia and collectibles will be on display.  Visitors also will encounter military, railroader and civilian living history re-enactors from various eras in our nation’s history throughout the Museum.

    The fantastic Moonlighters big band plays favorite 1940s swing and sentimental tunes, live among the historic trains in the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania’s Rolling Stock Hall! Dance with your sweetheart, or listen and sing along to the melodies that spoke of home to American soldiers during World War II. Dress to impress, in military uniform or in your best vintage 1940s attire, if you like, to add to the fun!
