Why You Should Go...
The best narrated tours of the Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay area are Coastal Queen’s Lighthouse and Mimosa Cruises and the Scenic Bay Cruises. Both are a great way to see magnificent views of the historic forts, lighthouses, Rose Island and the Jamestown shoreline close up. The Lighthouse and Mimosa Cruises include a mimosa in the price of the cruise. Cruises are 75 minutes.
Looking to just relax? Coastal Queen’s Evening Cocktail Cruises and Special Event Cruises are casual, with no narrated tour—both feature a leisurely sightseeing cruise around the Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay area. Evening Cocktail Cruises include one "drink of the night" in the price of the cruise and Special Event Cruises may feature either live music, various tastings or other entertainment. Cruises are 75–90 minutes.
Cruises depart from Bowen’s Wharf, Newport, RI; however, some Special Events depart from Jamestown or Wickford (check the website.) There is an onboard bar for refreshments. This spacious boat has a covered top deck with clear, roll-down curtains and a glass-enclosed lower deck that can be heated on cool days.
