Box office hours are Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

There are evening performances from September to June daily Monday through Saturday and matinees on  Saturday and Sunday.

The Metropolitan Opera is the largest opera house in the world, with a seating capacity for 3,800.

The Met's costume shop has produced approximately 50,000 millinery pieces ranging from headdresses to helmets to crowns and other accoutrements.

Each season, the Met stages more than 200 opera performances in New York. More than 800,000 people attend the performances in the opera house during the season.
