The Millville Army Air Field Museum preserves the important World War II history of the Millville Army Air Base, Millville, New Jersey, which was dedicated by the U.S. War Department in August 1941 as America’s First Defense Airport.
Located in the original base headquarters building, the museum displays large collections of WWII aviation artifacts of local and national interest.
The museum’s historic complex includes the Henry E. Wyble Historic Research Library and Education Center, the original base Link Trainer Building, and Building 31 Maintenance and Model Shop — all located in restored WWII airbase buildings. Highlighting the historic complex are four impressive outdoor murals that document the important history that took place here during WWII.
The museum promotes the excitement of aviation through its history, instills patriotism as it honors the lives of all veterans and America’s military, and educates and inspires youth.
