Why You Should Go...
When the Liberté is in Cape Cod in the summer, you'll find them on a unique corner with a complete Cape Cod experience in one stop. Besides sailing, you can fish with Patriot Party Boats and enjoy the area's best fried clams at the Clam Shack. The Karen Rinaldo Gallery has expanded to include souvenirs and trinkets that showcase the Cape.
A location at the mouth of Falmouth harbor means getting underway with sails rising quickly. Depending on the wind and tide, you may head west to Woods Hole; near Nobska Lighthouse are some wonderful old houses that can only be seen from the water. Beyond that are the Elizabeth Islands, the undeveloped emeralds of the New England coastline.
The Liberté runs a regular schedule of three sails per day, seven days per week (weather permitting). No two trips are alike since the cruise is dictated by wind and tide. The captain always seeks to make it the best sail possible. There is a short presentation on the history of the boat and the Cape and Islands, followed by questions. The cash bar is always available.
