Open year round, Thursday through Monday, 10 am-4 pm, The San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum offers an outside playscape, art studio and three floors of hands-on exhibits for children and families to explore, discover and learn. Unique programming and events throughout the week to keep each visit to the museum new and exciting!
Children can begin their adventure exploring the wonder of science through first-floor exhibits like the topographic kinetic sand table, air maze, RFID microscope and more. The second floor, SLOtown, includes a cafe, fire truck, performance stage with costumes and adjustable stage lighting, rock wall, our very own bubblegum alley and so much more! Our third floor is for ages under five, is train themed and provides our youngest guests a place to play safely and away from the hustle and bustle.

Our museum is jam-packed full of fun, unfortunately, this leaves little space for strollers. Strollers may be parked in the outside playspace.
